Akron’s organizing takes root inside of the headquarters of The WOMB (Way of Mind and Body). At the WOMB, organizers and leaders focus on building community through popular education, restorative practices, healing, and celebration. We create a safe place where community members can grow their leadership and connect with their heritage and hopes. This fosters powerful organizing for police accountability, access to restorative justice in schools and courts, economic justice and fair hiring policies, and scaled voter engagement.
