Trina Averette is a visionary entrepreneur, educator, and community advocate with over three decades of transformative leadership in early childhood education and community development. As the founder and CEO of a renowned family childcare center, Trina has redefined the standard for early learning, fostering environments where children develop a love for education, self-advocacy, and confidence that propels them to academic and social success. Her programs are celebrated for preparing young minds to excel, with many children returning as contributors to the very initiatives that shaped their lives. A graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism, Trina also holds certifications in childcare development and community mental health, equipping her to deliver impactful solutions for families and communities.
In addition to her community organizing work through the CEO Project and beyond her entrepreneurial accomplishments, Trina serves as Ohio’s State Representative for the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC), where she champions the needs of early education and family childcare providers nationwide. She is also an active board member of Ohio AEYC and Groundwork Ohio’s Early Learning Advisory Council.
