PASTOR CHRISTIAN “OMAR” MEDINA

Pastor Christian “Omar” Medina has been an ordained minister and a community organizer since 1997. He has been a strong advocate for issues such as education, health disparities, criminal justice reform, immigration reform, civil rights, and voting rights.
Pastor Omar has over 20 years of experience in the social services and human relations sectors. He has worked for organizations such as Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, Anti-Defamation League (ADL), and HUMADAOP.
Pastor Omar also founded the Community of Faith Collaborative, which serves as the liaison between the Latino faith community in Ohio and various government, nonprofit, and community-based entities.
He was consecrated as the first Latino interdenominational community bishop in Ohio, and he helps oversee multiple churches at home and abroad. He has also received the Kaleidoscope 40 under 40 Award.
Pastor Omar’s passions are bringing out the best in others, developing leaders, and creating opportunities to work in collaboration while celebrating diversity. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and spending time in nature.
