MOLLY SHACK

Executive Director, OOC

Since 2011, Molly has played a central role in OOC’s campaigns for social, racial, and economic justice. As a member leader, she co-founded the Ohio Student Association, organizing students on campuses across Ohio. Molly served as Civic Engagement Director of the OOC, where she helped build one of the largest independent voter engagement programs in the country. In Columbus, she has led faith, community, and student organizing efforts to win campaigns on education, voting rights, criminal justice and drug policy reform.

Molly was born and raised on the East side of Columbus, Ohio and is a proud graduate of Columbus City Schools and The Ohio State University. Her passion for organizing grew from values instilled by her family. Her father worked as a stagehand and was elected as the business agent of his union and her mother served as a legal outreach liaison focused on the rights of low-income tenants, immigrants, and survivors of domestic abuse.
