Jacqueline “Jacqui” Moore
Faith Organizer, AMOS Project
As an AMOS faith organizer, Jacqui is excited to help educate her community and Ohio’s churches about building political and economic power. She has been a part of prison ministry since 1994 and currently teaches a weekly Bible Study class at the Dayton Correctional Institution. She has ministered in churches all over the country.
A few years ago, Jacqui’s life changed when her nephew was falsely accused, tried, and convicted of a crime he did not do. This invigorated her thirst for justice and passion for helping her community.
Jacqui is also a survivor of domestic violence. She started a faith-based nonprofit called Chosen Outreach Ministries, where she helps women and children with emergency housing, food, and free counseling. She has authored two books on surviving domestic violence.
